This set of classroom chapter books will greatly benefit my young students by providing a challenging and beautiful story to read, discuss, and engage in as a whole class. Students will be encouraged to participate in story follow-up activities that focus on compassion and kindness. Eleanor Estes's heartfelt story of The Hundred Dresses is inspiring and charming. Through this wonderful book, I look forward to not only reading it with my class, but also actively engaging all of my students in participating in community service activities to practice being generous, selfless, and loving friends.
