My students will be able to manipulate the place value blocks to see how numbers work whether it's getting bigger or smaller. Not spending to much of their time drawing the ten frames or place value blocks but being able to focus on the actual tasks. After Preschool years and Kindergarten, children need concrete examples as we get older we lose our imaginations and it's hard to see and understand abstract things, objects or ideas. These manipulatives you provide will allow my students to see concrete examples and see how each piece moves oppose to imagining it or something being abstract.
