Having flexible seating options for my kids will give them the independence to take charge of their learning and to select a flexible seating choice that is not only most comfortable for them, but will also help them be more focused and engaged! During independent practice my students are allowed to choose a seat or area in the classroom that they feel most comfortable to work at. Flexible seating does just that! Currently we have a small couch, an ottoman, scoop chairs, and two stools that my children love to rotate through to sit and work at. Adding more flexible seating options will ensure that each child has a flexible seating choice.
