In my classroom, I have a student store that I have purchased a variety of items for and set up a wonderful classroom economy. They earn dollars for showing up to class, turning in homework, and being kind to each other. The items in my student store are all items they enjoy themselves. I have candy, snacks, juice, stickers, homework passes, school supplies, and fidgets and slime! My students have expressed many times how excited they are to earn dollars to be able to spend at the store. I would love to be able to have more "higher ticket" items in the store, like bigger fidgets and gaming tablets/systems, as these are things I know they will be highly motivated to work towards! This will help teach them to save money and learn how to work hard for something they want.
