Our students need to be reading lots of books on a daily basis in order to quickly progress in reading. Diverse, high-interest books at and above students' reading levels are the best way to gets students engaged and jumpstart their progress in reading again.
The books requested provide access for all students and a high level of engagement so they can keep working to reach grade-level reading. With the various levels of books requested, as soon as students are ready to move up, there are books at each level to keep them engaged. Some books will also be used to promote social-emotional skill building during whole-class discussions.
