In Pre-K you utilize different centers and focus on different areas of play. Introducing a play-train table would open the avenue for my kids to build, construct, look at the functional ability of trains and cars as well as use their imagination. The train table will provide the space for the kids to think outside the box while also keeping them in a centralized location. As for the paint supplies, allowing my kids the autonomy to use materials and make that choice without having an adult stand over them and ensure they have enough paint is a major skill. This skill also teaches the kids to ask for what they want, to work on recognition of colors as well as same-to-same correspondence with color matching.
