Headphones for kids in my classroom will allow my students to work independently on their own computer without turning down the volume or interrupting someone else's learning. Our classroom curriculum uses a variety of online learning tools, videos, and other computer programs to teach our Nevada Academic content standards.
Headphones are an imperative piece of everyday work with technology in our classroom.
There are many amazing computer programs our school is using to help catch our students up after the loss of distance learning during quarantine. Many students did not have internet or had poor internet over the covid-19 shutdown. We are using internet based programs to try to catch up our kids that have fallen behind. Unfortunately, most students in my class cannot afford to purchase headphones for school use.
Flexible seating- including quality ball chairs or cushions would be amazing because many students have a hard time focusing and listening if they aren't moving their bodies at the same time. My students are looking for some flexible seating options in our classroom. In our post quarantine classroom, student choice and flexible seating is a necessity for kids to keep on learning. Our class would benefit from a variety in seating that help us wiggle while we work.
