The books and materials I have chosen for our classroom will be used during our daily social skills lessons and also throughout the day. We would like to build our classroom library to include books that help promote positive behavior and build social skills. My students love books and enjoy being read to. The containers will provide personal storage solutions for the students to keep books in they are reading. We will be able to use the white boards for visuals and talking about the books in a small group or 1:1 setting. The fidgets help in calming students and also help focus their attention while learning. I also included magnetic dry erase storage pockets and poly envelops to help organize materials used with various behavior and social skills lessons.
By donating to our project, you will be helping my students learn and grow as individuals and gain the social skills needed to be successful in everyday life. On a daily basis, we are learning about our emotions, being kind, making good choices and being a good friend, just to name a few. We spend time daily talking about these skills and also practicing them. Having fun and interesting book choices in our classroom library will help spark conversations and learning opportunities for the students.
