The books I am requesting will become an integral part of my Language Arts instruction including vocabulary, reading comprehension, critical thinking, discussion, and writing. They will provide students with a glimpse into common interpersonal relationships of middle-schoolers (Restart) ; dealing with love, death, grief (Walk Two Moons); and experiencing life and hardship in far away Sudan (A Long Walk to Water). Your donation will ensure that regardless of socioeconomic status, this year’s students, and those in subsequent years, will have the opportunity to experience high-quality, engaging children's novels in my classroom. I want my students to become lifelong readers; and hence, lifelong learners.
