All of these books will be used to grow and shape my students outside of the classroom. Allowing these students to explore these books either by themselves or while being read to will help with their social and emotional growth.
These books will specifically encourage kindness and how others should be treated, how to handle your emotions, how to celebrate differences, and more. They will teach students how to be a better human.
Every book will either be put into our classroom library for students to read whenever or will be used for a mini-lesson about social-emotional learning. These are big skills for students of this age to be learning and will be ultimately necessary for them to succeed as adults one day.
