Morning meetings and story time will take place on this classroom rug every single day. My students will be able to sit comfortably and have a clearly defined place to sit. They will learn how to sit "criss-cross applesauce" with their hands in their laps so that they learn self-control and to respect the boundaries of their classmates. I like the alphabet on this rug. Each letter has an animal that begins with that letter, so it is reinforcing phonics. It is bright and colorful and fun to look at!
