My students last year loved reading "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" so much, I would like to do it again with this year's class. Due to covid, we allowed students to keep their books, but now I am lacking a class set. Students evaluated characters and their actions and had fun doing it! We analyzed figurative language, made predictions and their own sequels. There were so many avenues of learning through this one book and students loved it!
Of course, who can read "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" without eating some candy? To encourage and engage students further, I wrapped full size candy bars in "Wonka" wrappers. Anyone who received a "Golden Ticket" got a special prize and I pretended they were on the news by creating a powerpoint and/or having other students pretend they were news reporters. I would love to do this again. However, I need help funding all this fun, so that is why I need help purchasing these books! Thanks so much!
