The use of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math is the wave of our future!
STEM promotes creative thinking, problem solving and hands on learning for the students. Students are more engaged and love trying to design and create different objects or structures using problem solving skills and teamwork.
Students can work independently or in pairs while working with their STEM bins or material. After creating blueprints, my students will choose the material they think would be best for creating that structure.
My students will build or create the structure and then self reflect on whether the material used was the best for that structure.
The students can then try again using different material to see what material would work best and then explain their thinking to the class or to partners.
