This classroom rug will provide a comfortable meeting space for my first graders, daily. We will gather here for class meetings, celebrations, and lessons. My students will know that this is a comfortable place where we can gather together for discussions throughout the day.
It will help to promote a strong classroom community and offer my students the opportunity to easily have discussions with their classmates, rather than having my students scattered around the room at their table seats. Being together in a large group will help my students feel included as well.
