This listening center will continue to bring books to life in the classroom. My classroom library is a place that my students really enjoy. They enjoy listening to me read. They enjoy reading on their own. Having a listening center will give them another way to enjoy reading. It will give students the opportunity to tune out other distractions and focus on the story. The characters come to life in the stories they choose allowing them to make better connections to the text. A listening center along with the response to what students hear helps to support the Nevada Reading Standard RL.K.10.

About my class
