These books will allow my students to learn about diversity in this very broad field of Science. I want to make sure reading is including in my Science classroom. Students don’t think about reading often when participating in STEM classes; however, it is essential for them to read in all subjects! By bringing in books including women and black/brown people in Science, it shows my students that any and everyone has the ability to achieve whatever they put their mind to. Choosing to be interdisciplinary is essential in providing a well-balanced classroom! Also, showing students Scientists and empowering people that look like them will allow them to be more intrigued and engaged!
