These items will first help foster reading by building our library from scratch. After recess, children will come back and read for 15 minutes. This helps those who do not have any books to have some to choose from. The organizing pieces will help with arts and crafts projects. Math manipulatives are huge in 3rd grade and will certainly help with learning multiplication! I remember as a kid getting excited when we'd receive our new copy of Scholastic News! Having a reward system is huge! Kids love collecting coins/jewels and cashing them in for prizes in the treasure chest. It always helps to motivate them!
