The majority of my students have a passion for learning, yet they are not given the opportunity sometimes. I would love to start my fourth graders with reading short funny books about school such as My Weird School books, and move on to other stories they might enjoy. Since their primary language is Spanish, they need to become more fluent speakers, readers and writers in the second language which is English. Well, how can they succeed if the practice is not done.
The donation of this project will lighten up the lives of many of my students and enrich their lives with vocabulary and experiences without making an expense. It is through books that children can create visuals and travel at no expense. They can go anywhere and see beyond their five senses through the knowledge they grasp through reading. Students will always need reading in their lives no matter what job they choose to have when they grow up.
