Our school is developing a STEM lab for all students to visit once a week with a facilitator. As the facilitator, I will use literature as a starting point for all projects. Students will be divided into small groups to plan, create and collaborate a group project. Students will also have a writing component which will be instrumental in the scientific process. Individual teachers may use the STEM lab any day of their choosing to give students concrete materials to learn abstract ideas! I believe our students need a STEM lab to become 21st Century learners.
