Neat Seats for my students are going to be an invaluable tool as we step into our classroom space with COVID protocols in place. We want their materials to stay organized and be readily available to them throughout the day.
Neat Seats will not only help the students keep their supplies near them, it will also cut down on transition time between subjects, clutter around the classroom, and offer the students a tool to help foster independence as they learn to become independent learners and young adults. Our classroom pod was created with an open space design and flex seating. However, following COVID protocols has required us to scale back all flex seating, and replace all communal tables with individual desks. The desks that we currently have offer no storage for student belongings, not even a shelf below the seats. This one tool can greatly increase productivity within the workday for the students who after a year of being out of the building for some, need a scaffold to help with organization.
