Our school recently relocated. Students often talk of the flourishing gardens from the past campus and the many learning activities and opportunities that took place in their garden.
Our campus has a lovely garden space that is ready to come to life. My students are most engaged during interactive learning. The garden provides countless opportunities for interaction, observation and connection. Students in Hawaii often have familiarity with the garden and value the ability to produce food and mālama ʻāina.
The garden tools requested will allow students to transform our grass plot into a diversified garden. The art tools, magnifying glasses, worm bin, and aquarium will allow the students to examine, witness and record the countless interactions that occur when a garden grows.
