I am the school counselor for PK-2 students. These materials will help reach all students at various levels including school wide and individually. The goal is allow students the social emotional learning supportive environment to acclimate our students to in-person learning after the Covid setback to a Covid comeback.
The bubbles and dissolving paper is a good way to have students write down their worries and place it in the bubbles to see it melt away and students can then blow their worries away with the bubbles. This sensory symbolic process gives students the power to take charge and release worries that might be holding them down or back.
The items are strategically picked to reach all students in these grades as positive interventions and supports. The curriculum books with Tier I interventions is school wide, and the Tier II is for small groups, and Tier III is for individual support. My plan is to reach all our students and have equitable positive supports for all and to meet students needs at where they currently are.
