These materials will offer students an opportunity to contextualize their learning of the Japanese language and culture. Students have not had an opportunity to do creative hands-on activities in the past year due to distance learning. The feedback from students last year was that they missed the hands-on cultural activities from years prior. Watching videos about the Japanese culture is informative, but not as engaging and meaningful as the creation of products that add value to the learning of Japanese language. These materials will provide an opportunity for them to engage and enrich their learning while remaining safe.
