After this past year of my students only having in-person learning for half of the year, I am so excited to enrich their reading experience! For some of my students, this school year will be their first in-person learning experience.
These materials will help my students love to read! The books I am ordering are parts of our Success for All reading program and our MindUp SEL program for first grade. They are a variety of fiction and nonfiction books. These books will help students improve their comprehension, writing, basic reading skills, and their social skills.
Every Friday, we will have Flashlight Friday where we turn the lights off and students will read a book using their flashlights for light! This will make reading fun for students.
My inclusion students will enjoy the new carpet with individual squares for them to read on which will help them stay in their own space.
