Math is challenging enough without all the added restrictions and inconsistencies in learning over the last year and a half. The calculators will allow students to practice their accuracy with inputting using technology and the answers reached will allow for students to be curious about responses and to teach students the idea of "does this make sense?" These skills require the students to analyze how to approach each problem and then again analyze if they are on the correct track. These problem solving skills will prepare students for both higher level education as well as job readiness.
In addition to needing calculators, the students need a safe place to store and eat lunches. My classroom has always been open for students to have a safe and positive area for students to be outside of teaching time. If I get a refrigerator, this will allow students to be able to bring a home lunch and leave it where they will eat. I already have 2 microwaves, which both get used daily, available for student use.
Thanks for your support!
