Reading, writing, math…creating, imagining, empowering. Just another day in 2nd grade with these much needed (and appreciated) tools! I am new to this grade level AND to being self contained, meaning this reading teacher needs some help teaching ALL the things this year! My classroom is our home away from home, and sometimes the only place my kids feel truly at home and loved. And for this reason this project is so much more than books and supplies. These thing represent opportunity as well as faith in me and my students!
