Each of these supplies will support the scientists learning of Earth and Environmental Science. During the course, we will use pipettes and petri dishes to analyze water and soil samples. Many items will be washed and reused for additional experiments. During our energy unit, we will use the Kill A Watt to determine what devices use the most energy. The whiteboards and markers will be used for scientists to record data as a group and to ideate solutions for problems during experimental design. Creating guided note packets helps the students by reducing time taking notes and giving us the gift of time for more labs! More labs = more fun! The stapler and hole punch will allow the scientists to be more organized.
The donations in this project can be utilized in more than one unit so scientists can gain experience in using them and gain confidence throughout the course. Additionally, many items are reusable so when properly cared for your donation will contribute to the success of future students as well. As a science educator, the excitement I see in my scientists is exemplified when they live science versus being told about science and I appreciate your contribution.
