Most of my students come from low socioeconomic backgrounds in rural south Texas. Many of them are migrant farm workers who bounce from school to school.
The majority of these students have a hunger for knowledge and are looking to have a better life than their parents. The problem for many of these students is they don't have the guidance at home to steer them in the right direction.
Anything I can do to motivate them, I will. The best way to better themselves is through education and if I can do anything to help them change the mindset of, "college is a possibility", to "college is an expectation", I have done my job. Therefore you see many motivational quotes that will be displayed throughout my classroom. Thank you so much for your assistance with this project.
