These materials will be used to promote growth mindset and mental escape for my students. Most of my students are reading at or below grade level. these books will promote reading because of subject matter and content.
These reading materials will allow them to relate to everyday situations and inspire them to overcome the obstacles they will and do face because of their environment and lack of exposure to academic experiences.
Most of my student are from low-economic communities and of African American descent. They face racial discrimination every day.
