Scholastic News is very current and topics are relevant and appropriate. It includes so much great information, aligned with our health, science and social studies standards. With this subscription, our 1st graders will have weekly experiences with emergent level non-fiction texts. The online videos are a great way to provide information to our diverse learners. The goal is to immerse our students in reading engaging, current events using emergent level text with lots of non-fiction text features and photos. These magazines help us to provide reading material to the entire class.
