We are excited to be back in school but want to do so safely. Due to COVID, our usual sharing of spaces and materials has changed. With the increase in COVID cases in our community, I will need to ensure that students are limiting their contact with each other.
Being unable to use fans in a classroom where our normal temperatures are in the high 80s will be our biggest challenge. Cooling cloths could bring us some relief from the heat while following COVID guidelines. There will be days when we will need to go outside to get relief from the heat in our classroom. Clipboards will allow us to continue learning outdoors without needing desks. Students will also need kits with materials prepacked for them for use both in school and at home. Prepacking materials will allow students to continue hands-on learning at home when experiments cannot be safely conducted in the school setting.
