Having a place for my students to read is super important to me. Having an area that displays books for the class that my students can easily access is a huge part of learning to read. After the students access their books, having a place to sit, to look at or read the book of choice is part of the experience. Having this area is also wonderful for reading the books to the students and using the carpet as a learning time too. In addition having a listening center will increase the independence of book navigation. Having these key items will make this project work for "Let's Get Reading!"
