Covid-19 has limited our school's fundraising capabilities and we are also facing budget cuts. This year I have a class of 21-second graders, and only have access to 5 iPads within the classroom. iPads help us gather data to track and monitor student learning within the classroom that is mandated by our State. Having technology within the classroom will greatly benefit the families who have no internet access at home. It also allows students to work independently and collaborating safely while learning face-to-face. Lessons include stations, reading and spelling practice, and research. iPads also allow mobility for the teacher to teach and move around the room and display student work. Teachers Pay Teachers is an online resource with a teacher-created curriculum. Educators are able to find activities that meet the specific needs of their students. It is very important to differentiate this school year since we have students returning to the classroom with many different skill levels. Thank you for your consideration!
