Over the course of the pandemic many students have lost the foundational skills necessary to be strong mathematicians! The goal of this project is to provide my 4th graders with hands-on learning tools and games to help them to master those foundational skills needed in math. Being mathematics problem solvers will allow students to solve problems over multiple subject areas. Included in the project are flashcards for students, math tools such as protractors and rulers, as well as fun games to build not only mathematics understanding, but the social skills needed to work with others! The standards being met in this project include; 4.OA.A.2, 4.NBT.B.4 - Also being met are the Standards for Mathematical Practice: SMP #4 and SMP #5.
