My materials are a combination of flexible seating, math manipulatives, and items to help with reading skills. Flexible seating will help so much in my classroom to to be able to allows the students to have a choice in where they sit. Also, some students are able to focus during a lesson when they have a wobble stool at their seat. The math manipulatives will assist my students in grasping the the concept of 1:1 when counting objects. Hands-on learning is extremely beneficial, especially when dealing with counting in kindergarten. The items I have selected to help with reading are to help my struggling students who struggle with letter naming. This is a skill that is extremely important in the beginning of kindergarten and these items will help tremendously.
