In our class, we are constantly looking for unique ways to learn! We are opening a coffee shop in our school so that we can weekly practice our skills and serve our teachers! We will learn how to brew coffee, serve coffee, deal with money, count, take orders, read, deliver, and interact with our customers. We will practice the skills of eye contact, volume, sequencing, following directions, and MANY other important skills that are hard to teach in the typical classroom environment. We just need help funding this dream! We will show people our skills while serving coffee so hot it kills! We will bless our teachers with a treat at the end of the week because they work so hard! The coffee shop will be a win-win scenario because our students will practice invaluable skills, and the teachers get an amazing cup of coffee. A classroom coffee shop is going to help our students connect with the rest of the school which is so hard to do when there is a stigma against us. We are working to fight that stigma and show how amazing and smart we are, even if we are a little different!
