As an adult I know I have a hard time staying focused and engaged when seated in a hard chair for a long period of time. How much more for my high school students? I believe flexible seating options with help them stay more engaged and focused. This will help accommodate my standers, fidgeters, the stressed and those who love having seating choices in my classroom. Flexible seating and desktop options are a great way for my students to have a positive learning environment that will help them stay more focused.
