The kindergarten students will participate in a variety of fun hands-on investigations exploring how forces (pushes and pulls) affect the motion, direction and speed of objects. They will learn that forces are all around them and will make connections to how forces play a role in their lives every day. The unit will culminate in synthesizing their knowledge about forces and motion by creating and building a game that applies the concepts learned throughout the unit. The games will be set up as a Class Fair where students will present (explain) their games to one another and have a chance to try each other’s games.
