Math is scary for many students--they feel they either have it, or they don't. On top of that, students who may not have access to even the most basic tools/supplies, math may seem completely inaccessible. I'm aiming to provide my students with basic tools they need in my classroom so they don't have to worry about anything besides showing up! I try to make my lessons as interactive and hands on as possible, but even I can't do that without enough supplies to go around. Included in my project are age-level appropriate books for my students, so I can stock my classroom library and get books into the hands of each student.
