The items that I have selected for my new classroom are needed basics to get us started in the new year. My students have disabilities that make it difficult to stay seated so that they can learn. The wobble ball helps students to move and stay in their seats so that they can learn for longer amounts of time. When students are able to use individual whiteboards as they learn, they feel they are part of the teaching and increased the time spent learning. Sensory items are a must in the classroom in order to keep students engaged and on task.
