In order to foster a love and joy of reading, my students must have access to engaging and age appropriate reading materials. Creating our very own classroom library will allow for literature circles, book clubs, and student choice of a variety of books to read on their own. Reading daily increases comprehension, fluency, and overall academic achievement. With this classroom library my students will see that learning can be fun and enjoyable. Reading can open their minds to a whole new world of exploration. My hope is to create life long readers and critical thinkers through our classroom library.
