During the pandemic, many of our students did not have access to a variety of books to read at home. Now that they are back in school, they are excited to have physical books and create projects with their class.
The books will give students more choices for reading and options in science and technology. The science books are selected for the NGSS standards and the social studies books celebrate the many cultures of Hawaii. The geography books help our students develop their map skills and learn about the world.
We have some picture books in class, but no chapter books. My more advanced readers need books that are fun and exciting, motivating them to read more and improve their skills.
The color printer will allow us to create engaging and attractive products for our projects. Young learners are especially drawn to colorful displays and images.
Finally, the math flash cards and geometric shapes will give the kids hands-on materials to supplement their learning.
