Through virtual learning, I have noticed that a lot of students were interested in working with music technology. To continue the trend of music technology, I wanted to give the students an opportunity to explore the world of producing music.
Not all music students will become famous musicians but, my goal as an educator is to show the students what careers and opportunities other than western traditional musicians the music world has to offer. When we think about secondary music education, we often think about band, choir, and orchestra. With students listening to popular songs on the radio, I want to show them that there is a lot more in the music world than becoming a classically trained musician.
