With the help of these terrific activities and resources, the kids will have an opportunity to deepen and strengthen the skills taught in class. The goal is for the children to practice the skills while working on these activities and to have fun. These resources will be used to practice reading skills, phonics, and phonemic awareness. Skills that are vital for first grades when reading and comprehending text. Schoolwork should not feel like a chore and boredom. Schoolwork should be an opportunity for practice and for the development of thinking skills.
