The materials that I am requesting will be used to create a variety of morning tubs. When students are allowed to work on morning tubs with partners or in small groups, they develop important social skills. The morning routine will be such that the students unpack, make lunch choices, and choose a morning tub "hands-on" activity. As they engage in academic partner games and cooperative play they talk, collaborate, and build relationships with their peers. Some activities are straightforward enough that students know what’s expected. But they can also be set up in ways that encourage creativity. Periodically I will replace some of the buckets with new activities. This will keep the excitement and engagement high for your students.
