These novels will help my students with both academic and life skills! First, this novel is written in verse, meaning it is a ton of poems which work together to form a story. Students will analyze the text for literary devices, specifically imagery and metaphor. Also, the novel has no clear ending - which will prompt students to make predictions as to what they think Will will do after his brother's murder.
