Once upon a flexible seating classroom has 10 students with ASD. The flexible seating will give my students the opportunity to choose how they would like to sit in the classroom for learning. The variety of choices available throughout the classroom will give my students a chance to be in control of their learning. The tactile letters, sensory rings and alphabet bubbles will be used to enhance student learning.
In the early childhood and primary grades we understand that children need to move. Using flexible seating, will allow my student to rock, bounce, wobble or stand. By doing this it will increase the oxygen flow to their brain, blood flow and core strength. In all classroom settings this will definitely have positive affects to their learning experience.
