Giving these books to my students will show the importance of reading. It will also give them the opportunity to read books that are much more interesting to them. Many of my students only read when we are reading the text in the class and I want to show them the importance of reading outside of our general texts. I know that for my students reading/writing isn't their favorite subject but I am teaching them the joy and love for reading that I have. I want then to read with love.
