I chose a handful of well-known books and highly rated books to begin my classroom library. In my classroom, I want to provide students with a wider variety of book that explores all areas of interest. The books I have chosen for the project I believe contain a few staple novels that students would enjoy reading as well as more less popular ones that would enrich students' learning.
Reading helps improve students' performance in the classroom. By reading material that they are generally interested in, they will be able to tackle harder texts and text they find less interesting that could appear on their state tests.
