Please help me build my classroom library! These books will be used by my students in my ELA and Hawaiian and Pacific Island History classes. Students will use these books to learn about their Hawaiian and Pacific Island cultures and nurture a love of reading! Some of these books will be used as primary sources and sources for research. Others will be read for enjoyment or as mentor texts to study story elements and craft. Others will be used to supplement our SEL program and show examples of love, patience, perseverance, and courage through a cultural lens. Many of these books are not available on the digital libraries my students have access to. Students will be allowed to read these books in school and also to borrow and read at home.
